Description
KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III 'The Great' AR Drachm. (16mm, 4.1 g) Kolophon, circa 322-317 BC. Struck under Philip III Arrhidaios in the name and types of Alexander. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; barley grain below throne, spearhead to outer right.
