SYRIA, Seleukis and Pieria. Seleukeia Pieria. Time of Titus, 79-81. (Bronze, 22 mm, 6.99 g, 12 h), struck under the magistrate L. Ceionius Commodus, dated year HΠP = 188 =79-80. HΠP E[ΠΙ KOMOΔ]OY Turreted head of Tyche to right, palm branch over left shoulder. Rev. ΣΕΛΕYΚΕΩΝ/THΣ IEPAΣ // KAI/AYTONOMOY Filleted thunderbolt on throne. BMC 31. RPC II 2025A. SNG Copenhagen 401. A sharp example with glossy light brown surfaces. With a heavily double-struck obverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.

This coin is struck from the same reverse die as the illustrated coin, RPC II, 2025B.
