Description
MACEDON. Neapolis. Circa 500-480 BC. Stater (Silver, 25 mm, 9.93 g). Gorgoneion facing with extended tongue. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. Dewing 1064. SNG ANS 419. Svoronos pl. 9, 33. Struck on a broad and uneven flan. Area of flatness, scratches and die rust on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
