Description

THESSALY. Pharsalos. Early-mid 4th century BC. Trihemiobol (Silver, 13 mm, 1.31 g, 1 h). Helmeted head of Athena Parthenos facing, her head turned slightly to left; above to right, Λ. Rev. ΦΑΡ [ΣA] Armored warrior riding horse prancing to right, brandishing a flail with two balls at the end of its chains. BCD I 1293 var ( same obverse die but different arrangement of ethnic). BCD II 656 (same obverse die). Lavva (O-/R181 unrecorded obverse die ). Porous, otherwise, good fine.
