BYZANTINE SEALS. George I. Patriarch of Antioch (Theupolis), 758-790. Seal (Lead, 28 mm, 17.29 g, 1 h). ΘEOYΠO/ΛEΩC Facing, nimbate bust of St. Paul, between two crosses. Rev. ΠA-TPI/AP-XOY around cruciform monogram of ΓΕΩPΓIOY. Obolos 11, 2018, 774. A very rare patriarchal seal from Antioch. Very fine.
