Constantine VI, with Leo III, Constantine V, and Leo IV, 780-797. Solidus (Gold, 22 mm, 4.44 g, 6 h), Constantinople, 780-787. LЄO? VS S ЄqqO? [CO?SτA?τI O ?ЄOS] Crowned facing figures of Leo IV, bearded and on the left, and Constantine VI, beardless and on the right, both wearing a chlamys and seated on a lyre-backed throne; between their heads, cross. Rev. LЄO? PAP CO?SτA?τI?OS PAτHR Crowned equal sized and facing bearded busts of Leo III on the left, and Constantine V on the right, both wearing a loros; between their heads, cross and pellet. DOC 2 (Leo IV). Füeg 1.B.1. SB 1584 (Leo IV). Clear and attractive. Struck on a slightly tight flan, otherwise, about extremely fine.
