CARTHAGE, Unlocated Punic mint. Circa 320/315-305/300 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24mm, 17.08 g 6), Lilybaion or Entella (?). Head of Tanit-Persephone to left, wearing wreath of grain leaves, triple-pendant earring and pearl necklace; to right, dolphin swimming to left. Rev. ’MMHNT = ”People of the Camp” Horse’s head to left, with luxuriant mane; behind, palm tree. Jenkins 209 (dies O64/R182, this coin). A very rare variety. Beautifully toned and well struck. Very minor cleaning marks in the obverse field, otherwise, about extremely fine.
