Description

CARTHAGE. Circa 310-290 BC. Stater (Electrum, 18.5 mm, 7.57 g, 12 h). Head of Tanit to left, wearing grain wreath, triple pendant earring and necklace of oblong pendants; in field to left, pellet. Rev. Horse standing to right; below exergual line, four pellets. Jenkins & Lewis Group V, 302 (same dies). A lovely example, toned, well-struck and of very good style. Minor mark on the obverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
