KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18.5 mm, 4.25 g, 11 h), Magnesia, circa 282-225 BC. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left, holding eagle in his right hand and scepter in his left; to left, monogram; in exergue, maeander pattern. Price 2009. Toned. Very fine.
