Description

CILICIA, Uncertain mint. 2nd - 3rd quarter 4th century BC. Obol (Silver, 10mm, 0.82 g 6). Veiled and draped female bust facing, turned slightly to left, with her hair adorned with jewels and bound at the top of her head, and wearing hoop earrings and a pearl necklace. Rev. Bearded head of Herakles to left, his lion skin bound around his neck. SNG Levante 220. SNG Paris 480. Sunrise 105 ( this coin ). An exceptionally sharp, toned and lovely example. Extremely fine.
