Description
CRETE. Knossos. Circa 220 BC. (Bronze, 16 mm, 2.49 g, 6 h). Europa riding Zeus in the form of a bull running to left; below, two confronted dolphins. Rev. KNΩΣIΩN Labyrinth (ruins of the palace of Knossos); above, star. SNG Copenhagen 378. Svoronos, Numismatique 122. Nice dark green patina, well centered. Flan fault and edge chipping on reverse, otherwise, about very fine.
