Description
PONTOS. Uncertain. Circa 130-100 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 11.5 mm, 1.48 g, 11 h), struck under Mithradates VI, possibly in Amisos, 119-100. Horse's head to right; on neck, star. Rev. Palm branch with tainia and star. HGC 317. SNG BM 984. SNG Stancomb 653. Well-struck and clear with a lovely black patina. Good very fine.
