THESSALY. Trikka. Circa 440-400 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 15 mm, 3.28 g, 5 h). Youthful hero, Thessalos, nude ( with neither cloak nor petasus ), striding to right, holding a band in both his hands around the head of the forepart of a bull rushing right. Rev. TPI-KKA Forepart of bridled horse to right; all within incuse square. BCD Thessaly II 775.4 ( same obverse die, reverse with different legend arrangement ). HGC 4, 311. Well-centered and clear; examples with Thessalos completely nude are quite uncommon. Nearly extremely fine.
