CILICIA. Augusta. Valerian I, 253-260. (Bronze, 30.5 mm, 14.32 g, 5 h), year 234 = 253-254. AY KAI ΠOY ΛIK OYAΛEPIANOC CB Radiate and cuirassed bust of Valerian I to right. Rev. AYΓOYCTANΩN E ΔΛC Athena standing left, resting her right hand on a shield beside her to left and holding a spear in her left. Karbach, Augusta 124 ( same dies ). SNG BN 1911 ( same dies ). SNG Levante -. Nicely struck, with a bellicose military portrait of Valerian, and with an attractive light brown patina. About extremely fine.
