PONTOS. Laodiceia. Time of Mithradates VI Eupator, circa 100-85 BC. (Bronze, 18 mm, 4.41 g, 12 h). Head of Dionysos right, wearing ivy wreath. Rev. ΛΑΟΔΙ-ΚΕΙΑΣ Filleted thyrsos; to right, monogram of MTE. HGC 7, 290. RG 3. Very rare, and rather attractive with a tan-gold patina . good very fine.
