CYPRUS. Marion. Timocharis, mid 4th century BC. Sixth stater (Silver, 12 mm, 1.58 g, 3 h). "pa-ti" in Cypro-syllabic script. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. "pa-ti" in Cypro-syllabic script. Aphrodite or Europa hanging beside bull running right, grasping the bull's right horn with her right hand. Apparently unpublished! Cf. McClean 9152 (tetrobol) and Tziambazis 55 (as 1/12 stater). Extremely rare! Possibly the second and more complete known. Porous, otherwise, nearly very fine.
