Description
BAKTRIA, Pre-Seleukid Era. Local issues, circa 295/3-285/3 BC. Diobol (Silver, 11 mm, 1.06 g, 3 h), uncertain mint in the Oxus region. Kalathos(?). Rev. Double-bodied owl with single facing head. Bopearachchi, Sophytes 10 = HGC 12, 13 = SNG ANS 11. Extremely rare. Dark find patina with light earthen deposits. Very fine.
