CILICIA. Tarsos. Circa 440-410 BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 10.81 g, 11 h). Horseman (Syennesis?) riding a horse walking to left, wearing kyrbasia, holding lotus flower in his right hand and reins in his left, and with his bow in a bowcase on the elaborate saddle; below horse, key symbol. Rev. LNRGL (to/for Nergal in Aramaic) Nergal of Tarsos standing left, holding lotus flower in right hand and spear in left, bow in bow-case and lion's skin over shoulder; behind, Tree of Life. From the same dies as Roma XVI, 2018, 330, otherwise unpublished. Extremely rare. Test cut on the obverse edge, otherwise, very fine.
