JUDAEA, Hasmoneans. Alexander Jannaeus, 103-76 BCE. Prutah (Bronze, 15 mm, 1.39 g, 5 h). Yehonatan the king ( in palaeo-Hebrew ) in four lines within wreath. Rev. [ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΧΑΝΔΡΟΥ] inverted anchor within circle. Cf. Hendin 6184. Meshorer Group N. An unusual and very interesting overstrike. Very fine.
