SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Cleopatra Thea & Antiochos VIII, 126/5-121/0 BC. (Bronze, 20 mm, 7.80 g, 12 h), uncertain mint, probably in northern Syria (Damascus?), 122-121(?). Jugate busts of Cleopatra, veiled and diademed, and Antiochos VIII, diademed, to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΙΣΣΗΣ ΚΛΕΟΠΑΤΡΑΣ ΘΕΑΣ ΚΑΙ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ Nike advancing left, holding wreath in outstretched right hand; to left, monograms of PE and HP; in exergue, grape bunch. HGC 9, 1190 (R1-2). Cf. SC 2265.2 ( no grapes ). Very rare. Dark brown and tan patina. Light scratches, otherwise, good fine.
