The coinage of the usurpers Molon and Achaios is rare, that of the former exceptionally so as it seems to have been melted and reused by Antiochos after Molon's defeat. The coinage of Achaios is much more common in comparison to Molon's coinage, yet it is also rare. One might not think this, however, when perusing Mr. Kirby's collection, for it contains nearly 100 coins of Achaios, many of which will be presented in this sale!
