Diademed head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ Rider to right; below horse, HΓ monogram. SNG Alpha bank 398. Glossy olive green patina. Very fine.
The HΓ monogram can be found on the contemporary tetradrachms in the name of Alexander the Great, which were struck in Amphipolis between 317-305; cf. Le Rider pl. 47, 2.
