Michael VIII Palaeologus, 1261-1282. Trachy (Bronze, 27 mm, 1.77 g, 6 h), Thessalonica. St. Demetrius standing facing, holding spear in right hand, shield in left; in left field, star. Rev. Three-quarter length bust of Michael facing, holding labarum in right hand; in left field, lis. DOC 180-1. PCPC 80. SB 2307. Green patina. Very fine.
