EUBOIA. Histiaia. Circa 350-300 BC (BCD 361. Octobol (Silver, 19.5 mm, 5.62 g, 6 h). Head of the nymph Histiaia to right, her hair rolled and bound up with a vine wreath, wearing an earring, with a pendant in the form of a vine leaf, and a pearl necklace. Rev. ΙΣΤΙA-ΙEΩΝ The nymph Histiaia seated right on the stern of a galley, holding stylis with her left hand and resting her right on the deck behind her; along the outside of her right arm, in small letters, ΙΣΤΙAIA.
