The 5 Drachmai dated to 1833 with owl mint mark, were actually struck in Athens in 1843, as a limited issue of only 435 pieces. It is thought that they were made because King Otho wanted to create the belief that 5 Drachmai coins had already been minted in the Kingdom of Greece at the very beginning of its modern numismatic history.
