SICILY. Thermai Himerensis. Circa 350 BC. Litra (Silver, 12 mm, 0.61 g, 7 h). [ΘΕ]ΡΜΙΤΑΝ Head of Hera to right, wearing polos ornamented with three palmettes, a pendant earring and a pearl necklace. Rev. Herakles, nude, seated to left on a rock covered by his lion's skin, holding his club with his right hand; to right, bow to left. Buceti 3C var. Campana 2A. CNG e403, 2017, 15 ( same dies ). Cf. HGC 2, 1614 ( but this variety not included ). A very rare variety. Well-centered and with a head of Hera of fine Classical style. Somewhat porous and struck on an irregular flan, otherwise, very fine.
