GAUL. Massalia. Circa 525-470 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 13 mm, 2.74 g), Phokaian standard, Auriol type. Forepart of bridled Pegasos to left, with a pearled harness around his neck. Rev. Rough quadripartite incuse square. F/Py OBA-A. Furtwängler A.1. Maurel 1. Rare. Very attractive, well-centered and well-struck with a light toning. Minor roughness, otherwise, extremely fine.
