Description
MACEDON. Philippoi. Circa 356-345 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 10.5 mm, 1.09 g, 7 h). Head of youthful Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠ-ΠΩΝ Tripod. SNG ANS 670 SNG Cop. 302-303. Clear and well struck, with an attractive dark green patina. Minor earthen deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
