LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 300-250 BC. (Bronze, 16.5 mm, 2.86 g, 3 h). Ivy-wreathed head of Dionysos to left. Rev. META Ear of barley with leaf to right; above leaf, cross-torch. HN III 1683. Johnston, Bronze, 47. Atrractive golden-brown patina. Die fault on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
