Description
SICILY. Kentoripai. Circa 211-190 BC. Sextans (Bronze, 17 mm, 2.62 g, 11 h). Wreathed and draped bust of Demeter to right; grain ear behind her neck. Rev. KENTO-PIΠINΩN Plow to right, with a bird standing right on moldboard; to left, two pellets ( mark of value ). BAR Issue 4. Campana 5. CNS 7. HGC 2, 637. Dark brown-green patina. Very fine.
