ISLAMIC, Seljuks. Rum. Ghiyath al-Din Kay Khusraw II, first reign, AH 634-644 / AD 1237-1246. Dirham (Silver, 23 mm, 3.03 g, 1 h), Qunya (Konya), AH 639 = 1241/2 AD. Legend with the name of the Abbasid Caliph caliph Al-Mustansir Lion walking to right; above, radiant sun with human face; to left and below lion, star. Rev. “Titles of Ala al-Din Kay Qubadh, mint and date” Inscription in central square and around. Album 1218. Broome 243G. ICV 1340. Lustrous and fresh. Extremely fine.
