SICILY
The Sikeliotes, circa 214-213 BC. Dilitron (Silver, 16mm, 2.03 g 9), Morgantina. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΣΙΚΕΛΙΩΤΑΝ Armored cavalryman on horse galloping to right, holding lance; above, monogram. Basel 416. SNG ANS 1169. Very rare. Attractively toned and very well struck. Extremely fine. From a collection in Ticino, formed over 20 years ago.
