Nude rider on horse prancing to right, holding round shield and two lances with his left hand and striking downwards with a spear held in his upraised right; behind, to left, ⊢; to right, Λ; below, ΚΑΛ over Δ. Rev. ΤΑΡΑΣ Phalanthos seated astride dolphin to right, holding crested helmet with both hands; to left and right, eight-pointed star; below, ΦI. Fischer-Bossert Group 58, 745 (V285/R579). HN III 896. Vlasto 538 (same obverse die but from an earlier stage). Lightly toned and attractive. Struck from a slightly worn obverse die, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
