Description
THRACE. Aigospotamoi. Circa 300 BC. (Bronze, 21 mm, 7.70 g, 10 h). Wreathed head of Demeter to left, wearing decorated polos. Rev. AIΓOΣΠO Goat standing left; below, grape. HGC 3.2, 1260. SNG Copenhagen 851. Weber 2440. A rare variation with the grape below the goat. Fine engraving skill, nice style. Very fine.
