Head of Athena to right, wearing triple-crested Corinthian helmet adorned with a griffin on the bowl, pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Nike standing left with her wings spread, holding laurel wreath in her right hand and stylis in her left; below wing to left, monogram within wreath; to outer left, monogram of MI. Price 3749. SC 81.3. A splendid, well-centered, lustrous piece struck on a broad flan. Bangs on the obverse and on the reverse edge, minor scratch on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
