SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Alexander I Balas, 152-145 BC. Serrate Bronze (Bronze, 16.5 mm, 4.05 g, 12 h), uncertain mint 89 in northern Syria. Diademed head of Alexander Balas to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ AΛEΞANΔPOY Prow of galley to left; to right, horizontal anchor. CSE 197. SC 1814.2. An extremely elusive issue; glossy dark green surfaces. Very fine.
