The coins were minted after the death of both of them, and manifested the elevation of the deceased to the rank of gods - by a special resolution of the Roman Senate.

Zestaw 2 denarów typu CONSECRATIO: cesarza Marka Aureliusza i jego żony, cesarzowej Faustyny (córki Antoninusa Piusa).  Monety typu CONSECRATIO bito po śmierci władców, manifestowały one deifikację, tj. podniesienie zmarłych do rangi bogów.
