A ROMAN SILVER FIGURE OF HARPOCRATES
Circa 1st-3rd century AD.
Harpocrates, or 'Horus the Child', the son of Isis and Osiris, is depicted as a young boy with a finger to his mouth. He wears the crowns of Upper and Lower Egypt. Upper part of an amulet pendant; remains of an attachment loop for suspension at the back. Damaged and worn.
