A ROMAN BRONZE APPLIQUE DEPICTING EROS
Circa 2nd-3rd century AD.
Octagonal applique with a head of Eros in the centre. The youthful god with chubby face is shown with curly hair and the typical central braid. The edge of the applique is partly damaged, and the back was filled with lead in antiquity.
