USA 1 Dollar 1849 'Liberty Head'. Obverse: Liberty Head and stars of the Union. Reverse: Face value in a wreath. This type of a very small size; it was easly lost. Hence; its diameter increased to 15 mm for the two following types. Lettering: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 1 DOLLAR 1849. Edge Milled. Gold 1.67g. KM 73. PCGS XF 45
