Bust of Artabanus V left with long square-cut beard, wearing double banded diadem with double loop, spiral torque, earring visible; dotted border., Archer seated right on throne, holding bow; monogram below bow., Superb specimen having hardly circulated, the obverse strike is off-centered downwards. There is much debate about the attribution of the coins of the Parthian kings Artabanus; the specimen offered for sale has been classified by NGC as a strike dated earlier to the reign of Artabanus III/IV but now attributed to Artabanus V.

Buste d'Artabanus V à gauche avec une longue barbe, portant un diadème à double bandeau avec double boucle, torque en spirale, boucle d'oreille visible, avec grènetis., Archer assis à droite sur un trône, tenant un arc ; monogramme sous l'arc., Superbe exemplaire ayant à peine circulé, frappe au droit décentrée vers le bas. Il existe de nombreux débats sur l'attribution des monnaies des rois Parthes Artabanus ; l'exemplaire proposé à la vente a été classé par NGC comme étant une frappe datée antérieurement du règne d'Artabanus III/IV mais désormais attribué à Artabanus V.
