Description
Seleukid Kings of Syria, Alexander I Balas, (152-145 BC), Æ (Bronze, 18.4 mm, 5.54 g), Antioch on the Orontes.
Obv: Head of Alexander the Great right, wearing lion skin headdress.
Rev: [Β]ΑΣΙΛΕΩ[Σ] / [Α]ΛΕΞΑΝΔoΟY, Apollo standing left, holding arrow and grounded bow, palm branch to outer left, monogram in exergue out of flan.
