Description
Seleukid Kings of Syria, Antiochos IV Epiphanes, 175-164 BC. AE (Bronze, 36.58g, 34mm) 'Egyptianizing' series. Antiochia on the Orontes, 169-168.
Obv: Laureate head of Zeus-Serapis to right, wearing tainia with Osiris cap at tip.
Rev: ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ - ΘΕΟΥ ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟΥΣ, Eagle standing right on thunderbolt, wings closed.
