Kings of Macedon, Alexander III the Great (336-323 BC) AR tetradrachm (Silver, 16.83g, 27mm) Posthumous issue of Amphipolis, ca 315-294 BC.
Obv: Head of Heracles right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied before neck
Rev: AΛEΞANΔPOY, Zeus seated left on backless throne, right leg drawn back, feet on ground line, eagle in right hand, scepter in left; Λ over torch in left field; star above I under throne.
