SASANIAN KINGS. Bahram (Varhran) IV (388-399 AD). Silver Drachm (4.02 gm; 25 mm). Bahram's bust turning right with standard winged crown, reverse, fire altar with attendants, mint abbreviation "LYW" (Rev Ardashir) to the left of flame, abbreviation "GYAW" or with letters "GY" to the right of flame and letters "AW" on the base of fire altar to the right of flame, M.I. Mochiri's extensive research on similar coins of Bahram IV and Yazdgird I points toward the "GYAW" as a dependency of Port of Rev Ardashir. SNS Type Ib3/3. Sunrise 887var. Choice EF. Toned. Extremely Rare.
