SASANIAN KINGS, Yazdgird I, 399-420 AD. AR Drachm (4.28 gm; 27 mm). Obverse, Yazdgird bust turning right, mint abbreviation of "AW" behind the crown extremely well rendered royal insignia on the chest and crown, reverse, fire altar with attendants, phrase AWTSh (Fire of) divided in two part, letters "AW" on the right and letters "TSh" on the left of flame. Extremely rare type with mint mark behind the head. Typically this group has masterful engraving among other Yazdgird I group. Good style. Choice FDC.
