SASANIAN KINGS; Yazdgird I, 399-420 AD. PB (Lead) Unit) (3.18 gm; 16 mm). Obverse, Yazdgird bust turning right, name of the king written counter clockwise as :YIZdk(r?)(t?) in front of phase and behind the head letters KY (Kai?) king. Reverse, fire altar with attendants, crescent and dots flanking the flame, Typically the phrase KDY (Kai) meaning king mostly appear from yazdgird II coinage to Peroz and then Valkash. "KDY" in Hunic linguistic would have been written as "KY" or "Kai". It is is possible this coin was struck in the eastern frontier of empire. Well struck on a nice full broad flan. Choice EF. Nice original find patina. Rare.
