Seal with finest Nasta'liq calligraphy writing the Quranic 109 surah known as "Al-Kafirun" (disbelievers). One of the finest examples we have seen a true gem. These beautiful gems were made for high echelon of society from court and military officials and their families to religious leaders and merchants who could afford work of this beauty. The workshops in Mashhad, Isfahan, Shiraz, Tabriz, Qum and Tehran produced most of these gems. Many of these gems were taken to the holly sites to be blessed before turning them over to their owners.
