SELEUKID KINGS of SYRIA. Seleukos I, Nikator. 312-280 BC. AR Drachm (3.87 gm; 17 mm). Susa mint. Struck circa 300-295 BC. Head of hero (Alexander or Seleukos?) right, wearing helmet covered with panther skin and adorned with the ear and horns of a bull / Nike walking right, placing wreath on trophy of arms, monogram AX in lower field between Nike and trophy. SC 174.2; ESMS S-17; Houghton, CSE, 1024; Sunrise 175. Well struck on a nice broad flan. Well centered. Some minor deposit. Choice EF. Lightly toned.
