Description

Britannia, the Corieltauvi AV Stater. South Ferriby 'Owl Eyes' type. Sills mint B, circa 45-10 BC. Traces of wreath motif / Celticised 'lunate' horse to left; two large ringed-pellet 'eyes' above, five-pointed star below. ABC -; Van Arsdell -; BMC -; SCBC -; Celtic Coin Index 12.0782 (this coin). 5.38g, 20mm.

Good Extremely Fine. Extremely Rare; one of only seven recorded specimens, of which one is plated.
